Summary:
The successful candidate will be provided an opportunity to process and report company payroll.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Compute and disburse wages and salaries, deductions, taxes and other withholdings. Post
payroll data and prepare routine reports.
- Calculate and process special checks, review, edit and make corrections and adjustments
as needed.
- Provide data entry to system for payroll changes
including: pay rate changes, retroactive pay, and additions of new employees, etc.
Qualifications (Skills Required):
- Thorough understanding of manual check process,
voluntary deductions, direct deposit cycle and pay period cycles.
- Knowledge of payroll tax, payroll accounting,
benefits/compensation plans, payroll procedures, legal compliance and legal requirements.
- Computer literate with strong working knowledge
of spreadsheets and database programs.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Education:
- BS/BA
in related field or equivalent.
